Are you ready to change your health?

How to become a patient at SLO Naturopathic & Acupuncture:

  • First call the clinic at 805-316-1364. If there is no answer please leave a message. You will get a call back to see if working together is a good fit.
  • Before you schedule your first appointment, you’ll need to fill out an intake form. The form is sent electronically and returned to our secure system. Once the intake is submitted, you can schedule your first appointment. Either call back us back or SLO Naturopathic will call you when we see the form submitted.
  • On the day of your appointment: Please leave plenty of time before your appointment to find the office.  SLO Naturopathic is located in the Teass Building at 890 Osos St. This is a shared building with multiple businesses. The main entrance is located on Osos St. Enter the front door and go up the staircase and take a left to go to suite E.
  • Please note, the back parking area is not for patients. The parking garage on Palm St is only a block away. There is also plenty of street parking on Palm, Osos, or Mill St. Please leave time to find the office and call if you need help finding the office.

What to expect your first visit:

SLO Naturopathic is a trauma informed clinic and a safe place for people of all genders, race, and sexuality.

  • Naturopathic Visit: The first Naturopathic visit is 60-75 minutes – this allows for plenty of time to review your health history, go over labs, perform physical exams, and come up with a plan for next steps. If labs or referrals are needed, the doctor will also provide those for you either during the visit or follow up on those within the next few days. After the visit, the doctor will write up a detailed individualized plan that usually includes nutrition and dietary advice, herbs or supplements, and lifestyle changes. You’ll receive your custom plan within 1-3 business days. Follow ups are typically every one to two months lasting 15-30 minutes until health is optimal.

  • Hormone Replacement: If you are wanting hormone replacement therapy a targeted visit is available. This will include a review of pertinent health history and recommendations if HRT is a good option for you as an individual.

  • Acupuncture: Your first acupuncture visit is 75 minutes long to get to know your health concerns and have a treatment after the initial information is gathered. Acupuncture treatments may involve acupuncture needling techniques, non-needling techniques, gua sha, sotai structural alignment, myofascial release, cupping, ear seeds and/or moxibustion. If you need a superbill for insurance reimbursement, the doctor will email you one after the appointment. If indicated, an herbal formula may be part of your treatment plan. Acupuncture works best if done regularly to keep qi flowing smoothly.

  • Qi Glow Cosmetic Acupuncture Facial: The Qi Glow Facial is 60 minutes long. This involves a basic acupuncture treatment to balance your energy, a facial massage, cosmetic facial needling, gua sha, cupping, and/or facial teishin. Skincare products are all clean holistic and deeply nourishing brands including Dr. Ellerie’s own custom Qi Glow gua sha oil. You’ll leave relaxed, refreshed, and glowing.
